In Kasauli last week, 70+ people from across Fitsol came together for our Annual Meet 2026. What that really gave us was time, away from routine, but together, to think through what we’re building and how we move faster.
But just as importantly, it was about something simpler: unwinding, breaking the ice across teams, celebrating what’s been built, and building energy for what’s ahead.
Bringing teams together, beyond day-to-day roles
A big part of the offsite was designed around cross-functional interaction:
- Hackathon: Teams, comprised of folks from Business, Operations, and Tech, built quick AI-led solutions to real problems. The mix of perspectives ensured context-rich products that could have an immediate impact on the ground.
- Business improvement case study competition: Focused on rethinking processes and identifying efficiencies.
- Rewards and recognition segment: Acknowledging contributions across teams and highlighting effort, not just outcomes.
- Fitsol Anthem and talent show: Beyond creativity and team spirit, what stood out was how each team proudly represented Fitsol as a brand. Their performances reflected our core values and ethos, woven into lyrics and delivered with energy. We’ve even selected one team’s Anthem, which we’ll soon record professionally and release.
- Informal moments: Outdoor activities and shared downtime allowed conversations to flow naturally, giving people space to reconnect beyond their immediate teams.
Across all of these activities, people from business, operations, and engineering worked together on shared problems but from different lenses. The shift was noticeable, conversations were more open, context was clearer, and ideas moved faster when everyone was in the same room.
Recognising effort, not just outcomes

The offsite created space to pause and celebrate the work that’s gone into building Fitsol so far. The rewards and recognition segment, along with moments like the Fitsol Anthem and team-led talent show, highlighted contributions from team members who are now scaling Fitsol internationally, not just working on day-to-day operations. These moments brought out a different side of the team, one that often doesn’t appear in daily work, and made the journey visible, celebrating both effort and impact, not just milestones.
Stepping away to come back better
Equally important was the opportunity to step away from daily tasks. Time spent outdoors, informal conversations, and the closing celebrations gave people a chance to reset and reconnect beyond their immediate teams.
It’s easy to underestimate this, but these moments play a role in how teams collaborate later, making it easier to reach out, align faster, and work through challenges more effectively.
What we’re taking back
If there’s one thing that stood out, it’s this: Things move faster when the right people are working on the same problem, at the same time.
What the offsite really created was shared context. Conversations that would normally happen across threads or over weeks happened in the same room, with quicker clarity and fewer gaps. That carries forward into how teams operate, how decisions get made, how dependencies are understood, and how quickly things move once everyone is back to execution.
The offsite wasn’t just about stepping away. It was about returning with stronger alignment and renewed energy for what lies ahead.
